If cacao were still used as a currency, this cake would be the dessert of royalty. We start by splitting our moist, dense chocolate cake into two layers, adding a filling of chocolate buttercream icing and then coating the whole thing with more chocolate buttercream, a vanilla buttercream rosette and a cherry.
